These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the USA. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.

NMVTIS Consumer Access Product Disclaimer

Our vehicle history reports may include information obtained from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), an electronic database containing title, brand, and certain condition data on automobiles titled in the United States. While NMVTIS is intended to be a reliable source of title and brand history, it does not provide detailed repair or maintenance records.

Although federal law requires states, insurance companies, and junk/salvage yards to regularly report data to NMVTIS, coverage may not be complete. Some states are not yet providing all vehicle data, and reporting frequencies may vary, meaning updates may not be in real time. As a result, NMVTIS may not contain all available information on every motor vehicle.

Additionally, significant damage history or total loss events may be missing if a vehicle was never declared a “total loss” by an insurance company or was not branded by a state agency. Conversely, an insurance company may report a “total loss” even if the state has not branded the vehicle as salvage or junk.

Limitations of NMVTIS Data:

• NMVTIS includes (as available) title and brand information from participating state agencies, current odometer readings, and certain data from insurance companies and salvage yards.
• Commercial vehicles may not be included if not recorded in a state’s primary title database.
• Brand types and definitions vary by state.
• Information from the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save (CARS) program may also be included.

Important: NMVTIS data should not be relied upon as the sole source of information when making a vehicle purchase decision. Vehicle history reports are not a substitute for an independent vehicle inspection. We strongly encourage all users to consult a qualified professional to inspect any vehicle before purchase and to review official manufacturer information.
