The Paris International Motor Show 2012 has seen a lot of unconventional new launches apart from the platter of the concept and in production cars. These vehicles are mostly French built electric ones and they do not find preference in the UK due to their odd design and shape. However, they are a huge hit in the French market as they are economical, environment friendly and have a lot of tax benefits attached to them.
Whenever a big, bold question like that is asked, it often raises skepticism, as people expect nothing less of all garages across the UK to claim that they’re the best, for one reason or another. What it really takes to weed out the not-so-good ones is for the men and women who actually take their cars to garages up and down the UK, to give their honest opinions and scores.
Motor Codes, the people who provide small and large garages with OFT-approved codes of practice (called the ‘New Car Code’ and the ‘Service and Repair Code’) for maintaining high standards in new car sales, car service and repair, realise that consumer power speaks volumes, so they launched a massive survey to find the Garage Of The Year. Because Motor Codes work with so many garages across the UK of varying sizes, from tiny, local back-street repair workshops right up to large franchised and main dealers, they set the aim of finding the best small and best large garage, to keep things fair.

An initiative to try to make hydrogen-powered cars a commercial success has been launched by the UK government and 13 companies.
“Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles are increasingly being recognised as one of the viable options as we move to a lower carbon motoring future,” said Business Minister Mark Prisk.
