One of the most recognizable British sports-car manufacturers has been acquired by one of the most controversial Formula One outfits.
Team Lotus, which is awaiting a decision from a London high court over its use of the Lotus name, announced Wednesday that it had bought Caterham Cars, maker of the Seven sports car. Concurrent with the announcement was the online debut of a special-edition Caterham Seven, painted in classic Lotus green-and-yellow livery.

Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula One champion and driver for the McLaren-Mercedes Formula One team, has parted ways with his 1978 Ferrari 512BB. The berlinetta will be auctioned by Bonhams at an event scheduled for April 11 at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon, a northwestern suburb of London.
