A new Lyonheart K launches in Britain. The Lyonheart K is based on a “modern interpretation” of the Jaguar E-Type by Swiss design company Classic Factory and has gone into production as a limited series.
“We want to make the ‘Made in England’ label into a truthful concept, not just a statement,” said Robert Palm, CEO of Classic Factory. “Every part of the Lyonheart K is developed, engineered and hand-built in England.”
With a new James Bond film, “Skyfall,” being released this fall, and Her Majesty’s favorite cinematic spy franchise celebrating its 50th anniversary, an exhibition of Bond cars has opened at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu in the south of England.
Four former Bond women attended the opening of the show: Eunice Gayson, Jenny Hanley, Madeleine Smith and Britt Ekland. Ms. Gayson, 80, starred opposite Sean Connery in the very first Bond, “Dr. No.”

I discovered this on a recent family visit to Britain, when I took a day to tour the McLaren Technology Center in Woking and drive the 2012 MP4-12C, the road car that this famed racing organization will soon be selling.
